F or thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

For you are a holy nation to the Lord your God. The Lord has chosen you to be His own nation out of all the nations on the earth.
