T ake heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

guárdate que no tropieces siguiendo el ejemplo de ellas, después que sean destruidas delante de ti; no preguntes acerca de sus dioses, diciendo: “¿De qué manera servían aquellas naciones a sus dioses, para que yo también les sirva de igual modo?”
