W herefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Perché dunque fu data la legge? Essa fu aggiunta a causa delle trasgressioni, finché fosse venuta la discendenza a cui era stata fatta la promessa; essa fu promulgata dagli angeli per mano di un mediatore.
