A nd I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

وَكَثِيراً ما كُنتُ أُعاقِبُهُمْ فِي المَجامِعِ. كَما حاوَلتُ أنْ أُجبِرَهُمْ عَلَى شَتمِ يَسُوعَ. كُنتُ ناقِماً عَلَيهِمْ إلَى حَدٍّ كَبيرٍ حَتَّى إنِّي ذَهَبتُ إلَى مُدُنٍ أجنَبِيَّةٍ لاضطِهادِهِمْ. بُولُسُ يَتَحَدَّثُ عَنْ رُؤيَتِهِ لِيَسُوع
