A nd some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.

Tra la folla gli uni gridavano una cosa e gli altri un'altra; non potendo perciò sapere nulla di certo per il tumulto, comandò che fosse condotto nella fortezza.
