T hen Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

It was six days before the special religious gathering to remember how the Jews left Egypt. Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus lived. Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead.
