B ut when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.

Ci tu, când eşti invitat, du-te şi aşază-te pe ultimul loc, pentru ca atunci când vine cel ce te-a invitat, să-ţi spună: «Prietene, mută-te mai în faţă!» Lucrul acesta îţi va face cinste înaintea tuturor celor ce stau la masă împreună cu tine.
