A nd he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

Viendo que ellos se fatigaban remando, puesto que el viento les era contrario, hacia la cuarta vigilia de la noche viene hacia ellos caminando sobre el mar, y quería pasarles de largo.
