B ecause all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the Lord.

Căci orice întîi născut este al Meu; în ziua cînd am lovit pe toţi întîii născuţi din ţara Egiptului, Mi-am închinat Mie pe toţi întîii născuţi din Israel, atît din oameni cît şi din dobitoace: ei vor fi ai Mei. Eu sînt Domnul.``
