A nd he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

Atunci Balaam şi-a rostit oracolul şi a zis: „Balak m-a adus din Aram, regele Moabului m-a chemat din munţii de la răsărit. «Vino, mi-a zis el, şi blestemă-l pe Iacov pentru mine, vino şi acuză-l pe Israel!»
