I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

Como uvas en el desierto hallé a Israel; como la fruta temprana de la higuera en su principio vi a vuestros padres. Ellos acudieron a Baal-peor, se apartaron para verg: uenza, y se hicieron abominables como aquello que amaron.
