T hough he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the Lord shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.

Oricît de roditor ar fi Efraim în mijlocul fraţilor săi, tot va veni vîntul de răsărit, se va stîrni din pustie un vînt al Domnului, îi va usca izvoarele, şi -i va seca fîntînile: va jăfui vistieria de toate vasele ei de preţ.
