N ow when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine.

Io ti passai vicino e ti guardai, ed ecco, il tuo tempo era il tempo dell'amore. Cosí stesi il lembo della mia veste su di te e copersi la tua nudità, ti feci un giuramento, stabilii un patto con te e tu divenisti mia», dice il Signore, l'Eterno.
