T herefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

Certamente abandonaste o teu povo, os descendentes de Jacó, porque eles se encheram de superstições dos povos do leste, praticam adivinhações como os filisteus e fazem acordos com pagãos.
