Exodus 13:15 ~ Éxodo 13:15

A nd it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the Lord slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

Como el faraón se empecinó en no dejarnos ir, el Señor hirió de muerte a todos los primogénitos que había en Egipto, es decir, tanto a los primogénitos humanos como a las primeras crías de los animales. Por eso yo ofrezco en sacrificio al Señor todo primogénito macho, y redimo al primogénito de mis hijos.”
