T hou answeredst them, O Lord our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

أنْتَ استَجَبْتَ لَهُمْ يا اللهُ إلَهُنا! أظْهَرتَ لَهُمْ أنَّكَ إلَهٌ غَفُورٌ وَعاقَبْتَهُمْ عَلَى أفْعالِهِمِ الشِّرِيرَةِ.
