A nd the next unto him was Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king's face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)

Los más cercanos al rey eran Carsena, Setar, Admata, Tarsis, Meres, Marsena y Memucán, siete príncipes de Persia y de Media, los cuales formaban parte del consejo real, y ocupaban los primeros puestos en el reino.
