F or he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.

他 祭 祀 攻 击 他 的 大 马 色 之 神 ， 说 ： 因 为 亚 兰 王 的 神 帮 助 他 们 ， 我 也 献 祭 与 他 ， 他 好 帮 助 我 。 但 那 些 神 使 他 和 以 色 列 众 人 败 亡 了 。
