A nd Jehoahaz besought the Lord, and the Lord hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.

Iehoahaz a căutat faţa Domnului şi Domnul l-a ascultat pentru că a văzut felul în care Israel era asuprit, căci regele Aramului îi asuprea pe israeliţi.
