A nd Ben-hadad said unto him, The cities, which my father took from thy father, I will restore; and thou shalt make streets for thee in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.

Apoi Ben-Hadad i-a spus: – Îţi voi înapoia cetăţile pe care tatăl meu le-a luat de la tatăl tău şi vei putea să-ţi faci pieţe în Damasc, aşa cum a făcut tatăl meu în Samaria. – Eu îţi voi da drumul, încheind un legământ cu tine, i-a spus Ahab. Astfel, după ce a încheiat un legământ cu el, Ahab i-a dat drumul.
