A nd Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.

Poi Abner disse a Davide: «Io mi leverò e andrò a radunare tutto Israele intorno al re mio signore, affinché essi facciano alleanza con te e tu possa regnare su tutto ciò che il tuo cuore desidera». Poi Davide congedò Abner, che se ne andò In pace.
