A nd David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:

decidió ir con los habitantes de Jabés de Galaad a recuperar los huesos de Saúl y de su hijo Jonatán, pues ellos los habían descolgado de la plaza de Betsán, donde los filisteos los habían colgado cuando mataron a Saúl en Gilboa.
