O nly the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands.

Somente as terras dos sacerdotes não foram compradas, porque, por lei, esses recebiam sustento regular do faraó, e disso viviam. Por isso não tiveram que vender as suas terras.
