A nd David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him because the soul of all the people was bitter, each one for his sons and for his daughters; but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

David s-a aflat într-o mare strâmtorare, căci bărbaţii vorbeau să-l ucidă cu pietre, deoarece toţi aveau sufletul mâhnit, fiecare pentru fiii şi fiicele lui. Însă David s-a întărit în Domnul, Dumnezeul lui.
