S o David and Abishai came to the people by night, and, behold, Saul lay sleeping within the trench and his spear stuck in the ground at his head, but Abner and the people lay round about him.

Foram, pois, Davi e Abisai de noite ao povo; e eis que Saul estava deitado, dormindo dentro do acampamento, e a sua lança estava pregada na terra ã sua cabeceira; e Abner e o povo estavam deitados ao redor dele.
