¶ And David was the son of an Ephrathite man of Bethlehem of Judah, whose name was Jesse, and he had eight sons, and this man was old in the days of Saul and of advanced age among men.

¶ Y David era hijo de un varón efrateo de Belén de Judá, cuyo nombre era Jessé, el cual tenía ocho hijos; y era este hombre en el tiempo de Saúl, viejo, y de gran edad entre los hombres.
