T hen Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead and fought with Ephraim; and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim because they had said, Ye are fugitives of Ephraim; ye are Gileadites among Ephraim and Manasseh.

Poi Jefte radunò tutti gli uomini di Galaad e diede battaglia ad Efraim; e gli uomini di Galaad sconfissero Efraim, perché questi dicevano: «voi Galaaditi siete fuggiaschi di Efraim, in mezzo ad Efraim e in mezzo a Manasse!».
