t hen ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones, and they shall die; the damsel because she did not cry out, being in the city, and the man because he has humbled his neighbour’s wife; so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

să îi aduceţi împreună la porţile cetăţii şi să-i ucideţi cu pietre pe amândoi: pe fată s-o condamnaţi pentru că nu a strigat în cetate, iar pe bărbat fiindcă a necinstit-o pe soţia semenului său. Să nimiciţi astfel răul din mijlocul vostru.
