b ut rather God has chosen that which is the foolishness of the world to confound the wise, and God has chosen that which is the weakness of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

But God has chosen what the world calls foolish to shame the wise. He has chosen what the world calls weak to shame what is strong.
