B ut falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast and remained unmovable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.

Ma essendo incappati in un luogo che aveva il mare dai due lati, vi fecero arenare la nave; e mentre la prua, incagliata, rimaneva immobile, la poppa si sfasciava per la violenza {delle onde}.
