A nd when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea and loosed the rudder bands and hoisted up the mainsail to the wind and made toward shore.

Cortando, pues, las anclas, las dejaron en el mar, largando también las amarras de los timones; e izando al viento la vela de proa, enfilaron hacia la playa.
