B ut I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land,

«أقُولُ الحَقَّ لَكُمْ: إنَّهُ كانَتْ هُناكَ أرامِلُ كَثِيراتٌ فِي إسرائِيلَ فِي زَمَنِ إيلِيّا. فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ، انحَبَسَتِ الأمطارُ ثَلاثَ سَنَواتٍ وَسِتَّةَ أشهُرٍ، وَأصابَتِ المِنطَقَةَ كُلَّها مَجاعَةٌ عَظِيْمَةٌ.
