B ut he that knew not and did commit things worthy of stripes shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required; and to whom much was committed, more will be asked of him.

Mais celui qui, ne l'ayant pas connue, a fait des choses dignes de châtiment, sera battu de peu de coups. On demandera beaucoup à qui l'on a beaucoup donné, et on exigera davantage de celui à qui l'on a beaucoup confié.
