A nd when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it and found nothing upon it, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee from now on for ever. And then the fig tree withered away.

Vendo uma figueira à beira do caminho, aproximou-se dela, mas nada encontrou, a não ser folhas. Então lhe disse: “Nunca mais dê frutos!” Imediatamente a árvore secou.
