A nd the fire burning upon the altar shall not be put out, but the priest shall put wood on it every morning and lay the burnt offering in order upon it, and he shall burn upon it the fat of the peace.

Il fuoco sull'altare vi sarà mantenuto acceso e non si lascerà spegnere; il sacerdote su di esso brucerà della legna ogni mattina, vi disporrà sopra l'olocausto e vi farà fumare sopra il grasso dei sacrifici di ringraziamento.
