F or the soul (or life) of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to reconcile your persons (or souls) upon the altar; therefore the same blood reconciles the person.

Porque a vida da carne está no sangue; pelo que vo-lo tenho dado sobre o altar, para fazer expiação pelas vossas almas; porquanto é o sangue que faz expiação, em virtude da vida.
