T hen Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold about his neck and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

Então Belsazar deu ordem, e vestiram a Daniel de púrpura, puseram-lhe uma cadeia de ouro ao pescoço, e proclamaram a respeito dele que seria o terceiro em autoridade no reino.
