B ehold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the afflicted and needy.

فَهَذا ما أذنَبَتْ بِهِ أُختُكِ سَدُومُ وَقُراها: كُنَّ مُتَعَجْرِفاتٍ، لَدَيهُنَّ فائِضٌ مِنَ الطَّعامِ وَفائِضٌ مِنَ الرّاحَةِ، وَلَمْ يَكُنَّ يُقَدِّمنَ أيَّ مُساعَدَةٍ لِلفَقِيرِ وَالمُحتاجِ.
