G o up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for there is no cure for thee.

أيَّتُها العَذراءُ مِصرُ، اصعَدِي إلَى جِلعادَ، وَاحصُلِي عَلَى بَعضِ البَلسَمِ. جَرَّبِتِ عِلاجاتٍ كَثِيرَةً بِلا فائِدَةٍ، وَلا تَقدِرِينَ أنْ تَشفِي نَفسَكِ.
