T hen Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the princes of the armies that were with him, took all the remnant of the people which had turned from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam; men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom Johanan had caused to turn from Gibeon:

Giô-ha-nan, con trai Ca-rê-át, cùng các tướng đầu đảng theo mình chiếm lấy đội binh mới vừa giải cứu khỏi tay Ích-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-mia, khi Ích-ma-ên kéo đi từ Mích-ba sau lúc giết Ghê-đa-lia, con trai A-hi-cam. Hết thảy những lính chiến, đờn bà, trẻ con hoạn quan, Giô-ha-nan đều từ Ga-ba-ôn đem về.
