Jeremiah 38:16 ~ Jeremias 38:16

S o Zedekiah the king swore secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD lives, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.

O rei Zedequias, porém, fez este juramento secreto a Jeremias: “Juro pelo nome do Senhor, de quem recebemos a vida, que eu não te matarei nem te entregarei nas mãos daqueles que desejam tirar-te a vida”.
