T herefore I commended joy because a man has no better thing under the sun than to eat and to drink and to be merry, for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God gives him under the sun.

Por eso alabo a la alegría, pues los mortales no tenemos bajo el sol otro bien que no sea el de comer y beber y divertirnos. Sólo esto nos queda de tanto afanarnos durante la vida que Dios nos concede bajo el sol.
