F or seven days thou shalt reconcile the altar and sanctify it; and it shall be a most holy altar; whatever touches the altar shall be made holy.

Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and sanctify it; and the altar shall be most holy; whoever or whatever touches the altar must be holy (set apart for God’s service).
