A nd when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter; therefore the name of it was called Marah.

Da kamen sie gen Mara; aber sie konnten das Wasser nicht trinken, denn es war sehr bitter. Daher hieß man den Ort Mara.
