T herefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath lest he should destroy them.

Und er sprach, er wolle sie vertilgen, wo nicht Mose, sein Auserwählter, in den Riß getreten wäre vor ihm, seinen Grimm abzuwenden, auf daß er sie nicht gar verderbte.
