A nd in each province, wherever the king’s commandment and his law came, there was great mourning among the Jews and fasting and weeping and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

Em todas as províncias aonde chegava a ordem do rei, e o seu decreto, havia entre os judeus grande pranto, com jejum, e choro, e lamentação; e muitos se deitavam em saco e em cinza.
