T he posts went out in haste by the king’s commandment, and the law was given in Shushan, the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city of Shushan was perplexed.

I corrieri partirono in tutta fretta per ordine del re, e il decreto fu promulgato nella cittadella di Susa. Il re e Haman sedevano a bere, ma la città di Susa era costernata.
