A nd as the prophet was speaking these things unto him, he said unto him, Art thou appointed as the king’s counsel? Forbear; why should thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare and said, I know that God has determined to destroy thee because thou hast done this and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

Mentre egli parlava al re, questi gli disse: «Ti abbiamo forse fatto consigliere del re? Smettila! Perché vorresti essere ucciso?» Allora il profeta se ne andò, dicendo: «Io so che Dio ha deciso di distruggerti, perché hai fatto questo e non hai dato ascolto al mio consiglio».
