H ave ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the peoples of other lands, so that whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may become a priest of those that are not gods.

Oare nu voi i-aţi izgonit pe preoţii Domnului, pe urmaşii lui Aaron şi pe leviţi şi v-aţi făcut apoi preoţi după cum fac popoarele celorlalte ţări, astfel că oricine venea cu câte un viţel şi cu şapte berbeci ca să fie învestit în slujire, devenea preot al celui ce nu este Dumnezeu?
