T hen Shemaiah, the prophet, went to Rehoboam and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus hath the LORD said, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore, I have also left you in the hand of Shishak.

Il profeta Semaia si recò da Roboamo e dai capi di Giuda, che si erano raccolti a Gerusalemme all’avvicinarsi di Sisac, e disse loro: «Così dice il Signore: “Voi avete abbandonato me, quindi anch’io ho abbandonato voi nelle mani di Sisac”».
